Tinubu shares workout video, says ‘I’m strong and ready to serve Nigerians’

Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Sunday, shared a video of him on a fitness bike.

The video comes amid concerns over his whereabouts, following his absence at the signing of the peace accord for the 2023 elections.

At the signing of the peace accord, which held on September 29, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC) were present at the event.

However, Kashim Shettima, APC vice-presidential candidate, was present at the event.

Concerns over Tinubu’s absence at public events in recent days were also raised after the inauguration of the APC presidential campaign council, which was earlier scheduled to hold on September 28, was postponed.

However, in a statement, Simon Lalong, the director-general of the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council, had said the activities have been shelved until a later time.

The campaign DG said the reason for the adjustment of the timetable for campaign activities was to give room to expand the list of members of the council.

Lalong had added that new dates will be announced soon.

In the video shared on his Twitter page on Sunday, Tinubu dismissed claims about him being ill, adding that he is strong and ready to serve Nigerians.

“Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign. Well… Nope. This is the reality: I am strong, I am healthy and I am READY to serve Nigerians from Day One,” he tweeted.
