Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, took to Twitter to taunt Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for "sleeping" during a courtesy visit to a monarch in Nasarawa state.

Obi and his supporters were in the state on Saturday, October 29, to begin their campaign.

Posting a photo of Obi and leaders of the party in the monarch's palace, Bashir claimed that Mr Obi was asleep during the visit and that it is not acceptable to take a nap while paying homage to a monarch. He wrote;

''The guy beside the LP presidential candidate should please tap his shoulder to wake him up, it is against the culture and protocol to take a long nap while paying homage to a respected traditional leader down here.''
