Ogun PDP stalwarts escapes assassination attempt

A middle aged woman and an aspirant to the Ogun State House of Assembly for Yewa South state constituency, Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty on Thursday cheated death by whiskers when some hoodlums believed to be hire assassins waylaid him on her way from ward 2 meeting.

It was gathered that Amoo Folashade Betty a chieftain of People's Democratic Party was on the fateful day left a ward 2 held at Christ Church School 1, Igbooro, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government of the State when he was accosted on the road by the hoodlums, but was saved by Party members.

It was gathered that she sustained some injury during the attack.

An eyewitness told Our Correspondent that Hon. Amoo Folashade Betty an aspirant to Ogun State House of Assembly  was attacked by gunmen on her way from a ward meeting held at Igbooro, Ilaro Ogun State after a ward meeting.

Hon Amoo was saved by some party members.

It could be recalled that a similar attack was done on the Honourable when she was at a Church Service just few days ago.

It was also gathered that some hoodlums went to her house and ransacked it. Her belongings were roughly displayed.

The cause of the attack, which some people described as an ‘assassination attempt’ could not be ascertained as of the time of this report as all attempts to get to her was unfruitful as our Correspondent gathered that she had been hiding since the two incidents happened.

It was also gathered that she had been receiving threat messages every now and then, a situation that made her went into hiding.
