A non governmental organization, Youth Development Crusaders International has called for a re-orientation among Nigerian youths and the political class to achieve national development and reposition the youths for leadership position
The call was made on Tuesday at a Press conference to mark the 29th anniversary of the organisation with the theme, “O God of creation, direct Our noble cause" held at Oke mosan, Abeokuta.
The President & Founder of the project, Dr Kayode Kusimo while speaking insisted that youths must go beyond complaining and start effecting the change they crave for by interacting positively with their immediate environment, while the ruling class must correct the persistent malfeasance of corruption and insensitivity towards the youth and the future of the country.
The group which has as its motto, 'Building Great Leaders with Love", courtesy EMAN-VOLET Kusimo Foundation has project 1999 to 2022, 'Project TEMFA', (The Eagle Must Fly Again'), as its vision, stated that a developed society is a result of symbiosis between good leadership and followership.
According to him, “Nigeria has potential to be great and determine the future of Africa because of its divine placement in the Africa map, but unfortunately, we have big men who sit in big cars, blow siren, knock down people on the road and use their connection to subvert justice.
Dr Kusimo who declared seven days of national fasting and prayer for the nation called on the youths to actively participate in the forthcoming general elections but reiterated that "Government should not expect citizens who are not taken care of to be responsible. Citizens especially the youths should also not think that only the government could put in place a responsible nation. Nigerian youths should spend less time on social media, go to the drawing board and think creatively and strategically.”

Dr Kusimo who put the foundation on ground on behalf of his parent said: “This is not meant to go against the government, but re-orientate the leadership of this country and the teeming slumbering youths.
“We should rather redirect our energy. “The youths must begin to invest our time, energy in our future. We must show that we are ready to take the mantle.
“We can only do this by going beyond just complaining and ranting on social media.
“We must come out and take responsibility.
