The Chief Executive Officer of Macdan Construction Company, Hon. Daniel Makanjuola, has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election for Ewekoro State Constituency for Ogun State Assembly
The election was held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, held at Hallmark Hall in Itori, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the State
The primary was witnessed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and delegates from 10 wards at the LG who cast their votes for Makanjuola thereby defeating his closest rival, Azeez Durodola
Makanjuola, while describing the primary as free and fair said that 21 delegates were accredited out of 30 delegates and cast their votes for him, which led to his highest number of votes against Durodola that polled zero.
Feeling elated that about his victory, the CEO of Makaycana, thanked the INEC officials for their presence and for using the delegate list sent from Abuja by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) and also the venue approved by PDP's leadership in the state to conduct the election
He described his victory at the primary as the reflection of peoples choice from Ewokoro, noting that if elected he won't fail to meet their yearnings and aspirations of the people in his constituency, while calling himself a light to his constituents, assuring them of accountability, transparency, trustworthy and reliable.
Makanjuola promised to bring in micro finance bank for market women to get loan at a very low profit rate for their businesses and engage industries at the LG to employ 45% of your yearly as well as asking companies to fulfill their Corporate Social Responsibility on infrastructure in his constituency
"I have seen the level of under development in Ewekoro, Ewekoro is one of the richest LG in Ogun State yet the lives of the people has never changed, it is still like we are in the olden days but i promise them especially the market women to bring in Ewekoro micro finance bank, where they can get loan to finance their businesses at a very low profit rate."
"We also want to speak with likes of big industries in Ewekoro on the possibility of given Ewekoro youth at least 45% of their employment every year so that our people can get employed the issue of infrastructure we will also speak with big companies around and also bring in those outside on the possibility of improving the roads around, lighting, and water in Ewekoro" he added
