Ogun State Business Advocacy Group (OGUNBAG) established to strengthen Public Private Dialogue through engagement with relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies in other to create and support a Sustainable Business Enabling Environment in Ogun State held it's Annual General Meeting with the Theme: Capacity Building and Empowerment; a Panacea for Women and Youth Unemployment at Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Delivering his welcome remarks the Chairman Otunba Babs Adesanya stated that it is part of the Group commitment to capacity building that led to the choice of this year theme and is in line with the mandate of the Group. He further stated that Key Stakeholders within the private and public sectors should continually invest in Building the capacities of young people and women through training and financial support for the purpose of adding values to the society they belong in view of high rate of unemployment as revealed by the National Bureau of Statistics Report.
The Keynote Speaker Engr Dr. Akinpelu Shogunle, Managing Director/CEO of Highland Solution Services Limited in his presentation stated that " in pursuing the Agenda for a Secured future; employment generation for young people and women must be a priority agenda through innovative enterprise and sustainable capacity development.

Simultaneously, he stated that for any investment in Capacity Building to yield the desired impact Stakeholders must strategically accompanied such with soft loans as a start up capital for any Enterprise initiatives in order to facilitate their quick integration into the labour market.
Engr Shogunle further opined that " to decisively reorient the Nigerian States towards increasing success, equity and stability, we must fully empower the youth and women as the Nation's greatest untapped resource through Capacity Building as a way of putting them on the path of economic independence.
Speaking, Rev Dr S. O. Oluwole an Assistant Director, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ogun State implored Private and Public spirited Personalities to think about innovative and creative ways and means of promoting skills acquisition. He recommended his gency, NYSC empowerment strategy and drive to stakeholders in the promotion of Skills Acquisition and Empowerment Development
The Representative of the Honourable State Commissioner for Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment Mr Ariyibi Opaleye Olalere a Director in Charge of Commerce commended the Group for it's impact in the area of advocacy in the state.
Mr Cyrus O. Johnson a Fellow Chartered Accountant one of the invited speakers had advised young people to get upgraded and updated by acquiring relevant skills that will make their employability and engagements competitive nationally and globally.
