‘Oba gave me money’ — Portable visits Ooni

Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, on Saturday, hosted Portable, the fast-rising singer, at his palace.

The musician, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, took to his social media pages to share photos and videos from the visit.

In one of the videos, Portable and the monarch could be seen having a friendly chat, with the singer cracking jokes for him and other persons in attendance.

During their conversation, the monarch gave the musician a bundle of cash with those in attendance cheering him.

Portable appreciated the monarch’s gesture in an Instagram post. The singer said spending a day with the Ooni is like “thousand days”.

“Zazu Zeh everything nah by lucky Oba don bless me with a bunk of money, a day with the most high king @ooniadimulaife of Yoruba land is like a thousands of days. (I) am to happy to be with the king arole odua Adeyeye Ojaja 2…” he wrote.

Portable gained traction with his hit track ‘Zazoo Zeh’ featuring Olamide, the rapper, and Poco Lee, the dancer.



 
He has since snagged numerous endorsements as well as a huge fan base.

The musician has also made headlines for controversial reasons since he came into the limelight.
