Cute Abiola, the Nigerian online skit maker, says he acquired a new Benz because of “depression”.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, the entertainer shared a picture of himself sitting on a bicycle while posing beside his newly acquired Mercedes Benz.
“I was depressed, so I got a Benz,” the comedian wrote.
The post by Cute Abiola, whose real name is Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, has continued to stir hilarious reactions among fans.
The Benz acquisition comes a few days after the 25-year-old bought three plots of land in Ibadan.
The skit maker shared a video of his newly acquired property on Instagram.
“Hello everybody, congratulate me ooo. I am a new developer, a new landlord, a new everything in Ibadan city,” he wrote.
“My new three plots of land in Ibadan. I love this city. Come and be my new neighbor oo.”
Cute Abiola, who is also a naval officer, was in the news in November last year over his ordeal with the navy.
The navy had detained him for allegedly violating its social media policy — a development which had elicited a wave of backlash.
He would later be released after serving his punishment and then returned to social media a few days later.
