The deadline for Chelsea’s potential new owners to submit offers to buy the club has passed, Salient Times reports.
New York-based merchant bank Raine Group was appointed to manage the sale and set a deadline of 9pm GMT this Friday for the final submission of bids.
Two or three preferred bids will then be identified and put forward.
It is understood that the total number of offers received is between 15 and 30.
Yesterday, London-based equity firm, Aethel Partners, became the latest bidder for Chelsea, submitting an offer in excess of £2bn.
Their offer includes an immediate £50m investment to prevent Chelsea from becoming insolvent.
