Funke Akindele, Ngozi Onadeko, others to receive EWA awards

As a way of appreciating the immense contributions of females in the society at large; organizers of the maiden edition of the Enterprising Women Awards have announced that come November 28, 2021 at the Agip Recital Hall eminent woman will be celebrated.


Championed by The Christiana George Foundation, the convener Mr. Ayo George disclosed that the awards seek to celebrate women in 11 major spheres of life and influence including Sport, Science, Art & Culture, Entertainment, Health, Government, Real Estate, and Construction amongst others.


Speaking on the award, George reiterated that the award is borne out of the need to celebrate Nigerian and indeed African women that have either been under-reported, under-celebrated or under-projected. 


He said also that the award is arguably the first indigenous award platform that comes with financial reward for three categories (Social works, Media and Enterpreurship) with each winner getting a plaque, a certificate and N100, 000 each.


Other women expected to be celebrated includes Funke Akindele-Bello, Dr. Amy Jadesimi, Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Ngozi Onadeko, Hon. Fateema Aduka Mohammed Ogunkola, amongst others.
