The Governor of Ogun State,Prince Dapo Abiodun has reiterated the commitment of his adminstration to continually put in place workable strategies and deliberate policies targeted towards the even industriialization of the state ,with assurance of a mutually beneficial partnership expected to improve the living condition of the citizenry.
Governor Abiodun made this known in Abeokuta at the grand opening and commissioning of the GTCO Training Center established by Guaranty Trust Bank to commemorate the 10th year remembrance of one of its founding fathers ,Mr Tayo Aderinokun , describing him as a consummate professional who had left a legacy of consistent corporate service for humanity's sake.
The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State government ,Mr.Tokunbo Talabi ,another pioneer staff of the bank, commended the innovation and leadership qualities of it's founding fathers ,the chairman and particularly other board members for its decision to berth the Regional office in Abeokuta ,noting that his adminstration was elated and would continue to offer viable support towards realisation of the bank's objectives.
"Late Tayo Aderinokun of blessed memory was a fine gentleman of indescribable part ,a most loving gentleman whose vision to establish GTB has left an indelible mark in the sands of time.This is indeed a worthy memorial in his honour.
"On behalf of the good people of Ogun State ,I congratulate the Chairman ,Mrs Osaretin Afusat Demuren ,M.D/CEO ,Mr. Segun Agbaje and other members of the Board of Directors ,members of staff and even customers of the bank for the success story that we all call GTB. No doubt ,this edifice is another stamp of GTB excellence.
"The decision to bring this edifice to Abeokuta is another experiment,the management of GTB was quick to identify with the the state government for being the new and emerging economy the state is fast economy. Indeed it is a worthy honour "he noted.
Reeling out the expected gains to the state ,the Governor who noted that the edifice will add value to the aesthetics of the emerging Abeokuta Business District,which would have its impact in his adminstration's investment promotion drive thus providing employment opportunities , alleviating poverty as well as the assurance of food security in the state.
Earlier in his remark ,Mr. Segun Agbaje said that the training facility was concieved as a policy thrust of the bank targeted to empower young minds ,noting that no center could equal the GTCO center..
The Managing Director thereafter appreciated the Prince Dapo Abiodun led- adminstration for the meaningful policies targeted at making the state a destination of choice for would-be investors.
