Purge Yourself of Perjury, Other Allegations, Online Publisher Tells FMC Medical Director, Prof Olomu

By Our Correspondent

Salient Times Online has challenged the embattled Medical Director of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Professor Adewale Musa-Olomu, to purge himself of several allegations bordering on age falsification, fraud and gross misconduct levelled against him rather than chasing shadows.

The Publisher, Taiwo Abiodun, stated this while reacting to threat to drag the online medium to court for alleged libelous and defamatory publication by Professor Musa-Olomu.

Taiwo maintained that the SalientTimes is unmoved with the threat as the online medium stands by all it published.

He said, "Journalism profession is about the people, the urge to say it as It is without fear or favour. As a responsible Journalist with years of training and experience, we know what is of public interest, developmental journalism and facts from fiction.

The resort to bullying, strong-arm tactics and cheap propaganda from paid agents masquerading as PR consults have not answered series of allegations highlighted in the publication Professor Musa-Olomu is desperately seeking to sweep under the carpet. So, why the threat?

"What we would have expected from the said 'aggrieved' Medical Director is to clearly state his own side of the story, rather than the threat. Anyway while he is dusting his documents for necessary legal battle, we are also ready to challenge many of his claims at the law court."

Salient Times will, therefore, not be deterred in its avowed commitment to disseminating true and accurate information irrespective of whose ox is gored.

The online medium urges all lovers of free press and the truth to continue their support and solidarity and ignore the attempts by those who have skeleton in their cupboard to pull the wool over the eyes of discerning members of the public.
