Caleb University Imota, Lagos has commissioned an Ultra-modern Medical Centre and Ambulance. The facility which was built, furnished and presented to the Institution by Caleb University Parents Forum, in order to provide a variety of medical services.
The Medical Centre, equipped with nurses' changing rooms, theatre halls, male and female wards, alternative power generating system, access facilities for the physically challenged and aged, water treatment plant and a medical ambulance was built, equipped and donated by Caleb University Parent Forum, the first of its kind in the University.
Prof Nosa Owens Ibie, the University Vice-Chancellor, who took delivery of the facility during the ceremony streamed live across social media platforms, on Wednesday May 26, expressed gratitude and satisfaction for the project.
According to Mr Oritseweyinmi Boyo, Vice Chairman, Caleb University Parents Forum (CUPF), "Caleb Parents, as partners in progress with Management, decided to complement the great efforts of the school, by donating the State-of-the-art Medical Centre and Ambulance, as a model of primary health care facility.
The University reckons that the medical centre, located at a strategic position on the Imota, Lagos Campus, could not have come at a better time as it will go a long way in strengthening the institution's primary healthcare delivery system.
Dr Clinton Okonye, University Medical Officer, expressed commended the the CUPF for the very generous donation and support, stressing that the gesture had afforded Caleb University another world-class facility that will ensure that members of the community receive the best possible medical and health service delivery. "we are extremely grateful to our Parents for helping to make this a reality within the shortest possible time"
Caleb University Imota Lagos, who recently conducted and live-streamed its second Prayer Forum Online and also received the NUC Accreditation Team for Architecture Program, continues to record giant strides with the recent commissioning of the Ultra Modern Medical Centre .
