A former governorship candidate in Ogun State, Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka on Thursday urged residents of Orile-Imo in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun state to continue to support the Prince Dapo Abiodun led adminstration in the State in order for them to enjoy dividend of democracy.
Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, popularly called GNI made the appeal while on thank you visit to Asiwaju Orile Imo who doubles as Adele Oloko of Orile Oko, Chief Olalekan Olakunle, and the residents of the agrarian community.
His words, "I want us to join hands together to support the current administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun to take the state to greater heights because that is the only way we can succeed as a state.
He warned the people to be cautions of the Corona virus pandemic saying that the disease is real
"We should not forget that covid19 is real, I want us to comply by the guidelines given by the State government so as to prevent the spread. I pray may will not contract the disease''
Isiaka noted that his visit was not political, adding that he has come to pay the monarch and his people a courtesy visit.
He explained that during the 2019 governorship election, the community stood by him and supported him fully.
"I am here today to visit the Adele Oloko of Orile Oko and who is also the Asiwaju of Orile-Imo and people of the community generally. This visit is important because since the conclusion of the 2019 election, I have not been able to come here and these are the people who had given me full support during the electioneering campaign in 2019, I really appreciate you all for your support.
''I am not here for a political reason but just to visit our people and thank you all"
Earlier, Chief Olalekan Olakunle, Asiwaju Orile Imo who doubles as Adele Oloko of Orile Oko, appreciated GNI for the visit.
He assured him of his continued support and his people, adding that when it is time, they will stand by him.
