Mother of six escapes from Ogboni shrine with children, injures assailant

A mother of six identified as Ishola Nafeesat Busayo was said to have attacked some members of Ogboni group alongside her six children in the night of Wednesday, 23rd of December, 2020 in a bid to escape from the Ogboni group who were planning t circumcise her 3 daughters and initiate her other 3 sons into the Ogboni Confraternity.  


Salient Times gahered that Mrs. Ishola was supposed to be circumcised alongside her 3 daughters namely; Ishola Roqeebat Abike 16, Ishola Habitat Olasile 11 and Ishola Ameerat Tomiwa 9 while her 3 sons; Ishola Roqeeb Olayinka 14, Ishola Faruk Adeola 12 and Ishola Al-Ameen Akinola were to be initiated as young members into the Ogboni Confraternity as part of the right of passage for their father's family lineage.   
          

Drama was said to have begun when Ishola with her six children pounced on her captors who were said to have taken them away forcefully from their 1, Abisola Street, Elega, Abeokuta, Ogun State residence without their consent and battered them while struggling to escape from the shrine. 

The two guards at the shrine who were detailed to guard them pending the arrival of other senior members of the fraternity who will perform the rites were severely battered.                       
While speaking with our correspondent; the man who pleads for anonimity described Ishola and her children as wild cats. 

He gave assurance that a later date will be fixed for the rites as it's a family tradition of the Ishola family.
