The group explained that women's participation in politics will enable women to hold political offices.

The senatorial coordinator for the group  in Abeokuta, Chief Mrs Bolatito Ade-Onojobi made this call yesterday in Abeokuta during an advocacy tour.

She said that the essence of their tour was to alert other women to come together so as to support the gender.

''We are really working to bring women together,  we are starting this early enough, so that the woman will be aware of what is going on  and what  they are expected to do,  because we want to move forward, both gender violence, abuse.

''We want women to be alerted, we have to have a voice, when we have a voice then we will be able to stand, we want all women to be alerted to have a voice.

''We want woman to participate in future politics, we want support from every woman both at the grass root and urban,  we are all working in Ogun state to make us to move forward for the future that is what we are standing on

''The importance of what we are doing today is to make them aware of the happenings of now, and to prevent future occurrence,so that wen it is time to do politics they should not be running about because of  money  they should know what they want we should know the quality of women we want, we should support woman for the next election, whichever post women.

"We want to support women, any posts, we are ready to support, we are telling other women to aware and be supportive.

"We can function very well, we want women to participate, we want more women in politics.

"We are telling other women to be  aware and be supportive, we want women to participate, we are not against men," Ade-Onojobi said.
