Members of Organization of African Instituted Churches, a bloc of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ogun State Chapter trooped out in multitude last Saturday at a commendation and Thanksgiving Service held at the United Spiritual Church, Oke-Eri, Abeokuta to celebrate the immediate past State Chairman of the Organizaton, His Eminence, Elder Biodun Sanyaolu.
His Emminence Sanyaolu is a member of
the Advisory Board of The Eternal Sacred Order of The Cherubim and Seraphim and
a former Commissioner in Ogun State who has just been appointed as the National
Assistant General Secretary of Christian Association of Nigeria,
CAN, the position that made him the number four Christian Leader in Nigeria.
Speaking at the Occasion the Chairman of the
Organization in Ogun State and South West of Nigeria, His Grace,
Elder Apostle 'Tokunbo Adeaga acknowledged the Leadership capacity of Elder
Sanyaolu which according to him will surely make the National Assistant General
Secretary of CAN to stand tall among the comity of Christian Leaders in
Nigeria.
He affirmed that his
Organization needs to celebrate it's people that the Lord God has elevated in
the Christian fold and the Public Service.
In his sermon during
the program, the Ogun State CAN Chairman, Bishop 'Tunde
Akin-Akinsanya admonished the people of the Lord to always give thanks to their
creator for keeping them alive especially during the COVID 19 pandemic
period.
He described Elder
Sanyaolu as a very dedicated, loyal and committed Christian Leader who is
representing his bloc and Ogun State in the National body of CAN.
Bishop Akinsanya
eulogises the leadership of OAIC in Ogun State for celebrating its
members.
The Organization also
celebrated other members that include Venerable (Architect) Samson Kunle
Popoola who has been appointed as the Ogun State Chairman of the Police
Community Relations Committee (PCRC), His Grace, Elder Folorunso on
his appointment as the Ogun State Chairman of Parents Teachers Association
(PTA) and the State Secretary of the Organization and a Director of CAN
and OAIC in the South West of Nigeria, Special Senior Apostle Amos Ajayi
who has just been elected as the Ogun State Treasurer of Nigeria Union of Local
Government Employees (NULGE).
While thanking
members of the organization for the honor bestowed on him and other
awardees, Elder Sanyaolu promised to contribute his pool of knowledge to
the upliftment of the Christrian fold in Nigeria.
Dignitaries at the
program among others include the Oyo State CAN Chairman, Apostle Akinyemiju,
Apostle Fadiji, the Secretary of OAIC in the South West, All Heads of
Church Blocs in Ogun OAIC, Baale Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, Chief Fashola with all
the Zonal and Divisional Chairmen of Ogun OAIC
