The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Honourable Afolabi Afuape has rejoiced with an exemplary and reputable leader, former Executive Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Aremu Osoba on the occasion his 81st birthday today.
Speaking in his office in Abeokuta, the Commissioner said the occasion of his birthday was to reflect and give thanks to God for preserving him as a father and a leader, adding that his attainment of the 81 years of age attest to the fact that he has enjoyed tremendous grace and blessings from the Almighty God.
Afuape said his contributions to development of the Ogun State, journalism as well as politics cannot be overemphasized as he was able to give his best in all his field of endeavour as a leader.
He noted that his existence has made the present administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun achieved it success in the face of hiccups that permeate his emergence in the State and his unwavering commitment to building strong institution that will encourage participatory democracy.
Afuape prayed that God will continue to preserve him so that he would be able to contribute more to the nascent democracy in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
