A Federal High Court sitting in Kano on Friday ordered the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission to refrain from Investigating Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II.

Justice Ambrose Lewis-Allagoa gave the order directing that the status-quo be maintained pending the hearing of the substantive suit brought before him by the Plaintiff, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi.

Earlier, the commission had extended an invitation to the emir to appear on Monday 9th of March in respect of alleged land deals.

Emir Sanusi’s counsel, Nuraini Jimoh moved for an ex parte order which the court granted before fixing March 18 for hearing.

State Chairman of the Anti Corruption Commission Muhyi Magaji, Attorney General Ibrahim Mukhtar and Governor of Kano state Abdullahi Ganduje were joined in the suit as defendants
