Such is Life! Shehu Sani begs Ganduje to come to Late Gov. Rimi's aid as his house is put on lease

The former senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani, earlier this evening took to his verified Twitter account to send a passionate appeal to the Governor of Kano State, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to come to the aid of Late Governor Abubakar Rimi, the former governor of Kano State, whose house is currently on lease to the general public.

Recall that Late Governor Abubakar Rimi was the first Democratic Governor of Kano State who was elected into office through the then People's Redemption Party (PRP) in October, 1979 and ruled till he stepped down in May, 1983. He was however killed in an armed robbery attack sometime in April, 2010.

However, barely a decade after his demise, his gigantic mansion has been let out on lease to any member of the general public.

Reacting to this sad twist of life, the popular human rights activist and former senator, Senator Shehu Sani, has appealed to the current governor of Kano State to wipe the shame from the Late governor's face and that of his family by rather converting the said house into a research center.

This was his tweet:

Dear Gov Ganduje,

My passionate appeal; please reach out to the family of d late Gov Rimi & discuss the possibility of converting his residence into a research center, affiliated to d state university, as a mark of honour rather than this..Photo culled from Abdulaziz Abdulaziz facebook
