Ekiti State Government is organising a two- day workshop for political appointees currently serving as Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants in the State to the Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi.
The workshop is, which is being coordinated by the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor, is designed to familiarise the appointees with the five- point agenda of the administration as well as service delivery.
The workshop is also structured to further build a smooth and cordial working relationship among the various departments of government in the discharging their responsibilities.
The workshop, with theme:
"Restoring our Values: Stakeholders Role in Developing Ekiti", is also expected to align participants with thr policy direction of the government as well as build capacity of the appointees.
Apart from acquainting participants with their specific job functions and responsibilities, the training would also educate the appointees on organisational structure and line of reporting.
The Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants would be exposed to the concept of ethical rebirth, new consciousness, time management and service delivery.
Other areas of attention includes, citizens relationship management, improved cultural behaviour patterns and building social and political capital.
Appointees are drawn from diverse works of life across all the local government areas of the state with reference to their professional background, skills and intellectual capacity.
The program which will be declared open by the state Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi will end on Saturday.
