Xenophobic : FG says 640 Nigerians registered to return from South Africa

No fewer than 640 Nigerians have registered to return to the country following the xenophobic attacks in South Africa.


The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, made this known at the end of a closed door meeting with the Chairman, Senate Committee on Diaspora, Senator Ajibola Suraju.

Addressing newmen, Dabiri-Erewa said that in no distant time, those that have registered to come back would be flown back to Nigeria as soon as arrangements about their return are perfected.

She added that Nigerians with expired passport in South Africa would be given relevant travel certificates.

She stated that no fewer than eight South African Policemen are in xourt over crimes committed against Nigerians in South Africa.
