Ahead of the March 9 governorship election, Movement of Yewa-Awori for Governor (MOYAG) has declared support and vowed to canvass voters for the governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Ogun State, AbdulKabir Adekunle Akinlade.
The group also urged the electorate in the state to vote for Akinlade and all APM House of Assembly candidates, to ensure continuity of good governance started over seven years ago by Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
MOYAG Convener, Sola Oyekanmi, made this known to newsmen in Abeokuta, capital of Ogun State, yesterday. while addressing newsmen in
Oyekanmi also added that Akinlade’s emergence as governor would entrench justice and fairness into the polity of Ogun. He commended Amosun’s commitment to the just cause of Yewa-Awori for governor, “even at a personal cost and his suspension by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC),” and expressed the group’s readiness to mobilise the people to stand against injustice.
