An Ogun-Based socio-political group, Abeokuta Youths Vanguard (AYV), has said it is prepared to contribute its quota towards ensuring that Hon. Taiwo Oludotun (Twinny) realised his ambition as a member of Ogun state House of Assembly, representing Abeokuta North Constituency.
To achieve this, the group promised to mobilize three hundred thousand people that will give him three hundred thousand votes in the March 9th 2019, election in the state, which would serve as his good work to the entire Abeokuta North Constituency.
It added that such massive vote was the only way to appreciate the good works and gesture of the House of Assembly Candidate of the constituency, who has taken development strides to all the nooks and crannies of the Abeokuta North Constituency with his personal finances.
Speaking at an enlightenment rally organised by the group for the Abeokuta North residents, which held at Olomore, Town Hall, the AYV Coordinator, Mr. Musa Akanni, said the massive support Hon. Oludotun has been receiving across the constituency was a testimony to his good work for the inhabitants of the area.
Akanni said the rally was imperative in order to mobilize massive support for the House of Assembly Candidate, Hon. Oludotun (Twinny) and to drum the awareness for the massive turn out for the Governorship and House of Assembly elections come on the 9th of March, 2019.
He said: "We in Abeokuta North are happy and we have come together to unanimously endorse his candidacy for the constituency. To demonstrate our commitment, we are prepared to mobilize three hundred thousand people that will give him three hundred thousand votes across the constituency, compare to other contestants who has nobody to give them support."
"Our mandate is to also ensure massive vote cast for the candidate and we are committed to make him create a new record as the politician with the largest number of votes in the constituency. We are in Abeokuta North to ensure that not only did the people know what the Adedotun has done and is doing, but also to mobilize them to vote en masse for him." Akanni said
He urged all members of All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains to embark on door-to-door campaign to drum support for the House of Assembly Candidate who has taken inclusive campaign to a new dimension and has put the masses at the centre of his politics and programmes.
He admonished the people not to be cowardly in voting for the candidates of their choice and not to allay fears of being attacked by any hoodlums or thugs in the state, noting that the Presidential and National Assembly elections has come and gone and the victory we recorded should repeat itself come 9th of March 2019.
