30 POLITICAL PARTIES BACK HON TITI OSENI TO DEFEAT AMOSUN IN OGUN CENTRAL POLL


Thirty Political Parties under the auspices of Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Ogun State chapter have declared their support for Rt. Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez as the Ogun Central Senatorial District in the coming general election slated to hold tomorrow, Saturday.

According to information reaching our reporter, CNPP in a meeting held last Thursday in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital said it has adopted the African Democratic Party, ADC candidate in line with her good deeds in the past.

The group acting secretary, Hon Akinyele Sarafadeen Ogunwoolu who spoke with our reporter shortly after the meeting said Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez is the only credible candidate for the position, which is why the group adopted her.

Honourable Ogunwoolu who is also one of the strongest stakeholders in Ogun state said there is serious and urgent need to appoint women to the position this time around to avoid gender inequality.

He said since the creation of the state, women has always proved to be the best representative, and this is the best time to appoint a trustworthy woman to represent the people of the constituency.

He also mandated all other political parties to rally round and support Hon Titilayo Oseni-Gomez tomorrow, Saturday general elections.

Also, on his own part, the Public Relations Officer of the group, Hon Segun Matthew said the group believed so much in Hon Oseni-Gomez, because while serving as the speaker of the state in the previous dispensation, she empowered so many people.

The PRO also stated that the former speaker used her influence to help many youths gain employment to different government parastater in the state.

He therefore call on other parties to give strong support for her if they really want change, and that women must be given the opportunity this time around.

Hon Matthew also called on INEC not be bias in the coming elections, to allow clean and credible elections, and to make peace reign.

He called on the four Commissioners of police assigned to the state to protect the peoples right and also the lives and properties should be guaranteed.

Hon Matthew therefore called on CP in charge of election in Ogun Central,  Gbenga Adeyanju to keep watch on all miscreants who are ready trauncate the process of the election, and such incident that happened in the presence of the President last Monday will not repeat itself again.
