Ogun Head of Service To Civil Servants, Stay off Politics

Ogun State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu has urged Civil Servants to desist from partisan politics, as this was against the public service rules.

The Head of Service who stated this while fielding questions from the press in his office, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, noted that, ‘’ as Civil Servants, we have a responsibility to be loyal to the policy of every administration’’, affirming that as drivers of government policies and actions, workers should be wary and not delve into political affairs.

Engr. Bisiriyu charged them to always consult the Public Service Manual for proper guide of their conducts in discharging their duties, adding that it was required of every Civil Servant to be good ambassador of the State, in the course of their interface with the public.

He urged senior officers to always welcome innovations from their subordinates, as they are much informed in the latest trends of global development, enjoining all to support the administration's private sector partnership drive, which he noted has been the basis for the successes recorded so far in the state.
