A member representing Abeokuta South Federal Constituency in the national assembly, Hon Segun Williams has finally dumped the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) for Labour Party
National Newspot gathered that Hon Williams dumped APC following his failure to get the Party ticket to re contest in the 2019 general elections.
A close ally of the two term House of Representatives member told our Correspondent that Hon Williams had approached the leadership of the Labour Party some week ago, with the final agreement sealed last week.
" As I am talking to you now, Hon Segun Williams had been given the ticket by the Labour Party to contest for the House of Representatives seat in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
He added that Hon Williams decided to stay off the controversy that trails the APC primaries in the State, but because of the love he had for his people, he is moving his political machineries to the Labour Party to actualise his dream.
Confirming, the Ogun State Chairman of Labour Party, Hon Abayomi Olufemi Arabambi said it is true that the Party has given the ticket to Hon Williams.
"Yes, he is our candidate for the House of Representatives seat in Abeokuta South Local government, his form and all necessary documents have been submitted to INEC"..
Efforts by National Newspot to get reactions from Hon Williams was unsuccessful as his mobile line was said to be unavailable.
