Following the crises rocking the All Progressive Congress , APC , Lagos State Chapter , the Democratic Peoples Party , DPP has advised Lagosians to stop seeing APC as the party which can ameliorate their suffering or lasting solutions .
The Chairman of DPP in Lagos State, Honourable Folorunso Owolabi Aare made this known in Lagos while speaking with some Lagosians and party faithfuls in Ikeja .
He said Lagosians have seen the length and breath of the ruling party in the last eight years . What we are seeing today in DPP is as a result of people who have genuine interest with various oriented programs to move the party forward .
According to him " What do you expect from a party where a single person will determine the faith of others .This is barbaric , and should never be allowed particularly in this 21st century . It is a primitive idea and it should be condemned " He said .
Honourable Folorunso Owolabi said " our agreement in 1960 is to be on our own and direct our affairs in a democratic manner . But what we are seeing in Lagos today is far from that " .
He advised the ruling party to come and learn from their party where patriotism, equity and justice remain their watchword . He implored Lagosians to join DPP so as to move the state forward .
The chairman call on interested people who are willing to vie for any political office to approach the office as 20th of September is the deadline .
He then called on the sitting Governor Akinwunmi Ambode not to exercise any fear and to shun violence saying that Democratic People's Party is ready to give him ticket because they are one family
