Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer , Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE ), disclosed this to newsmen in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Akinbiyi said the first accident involved a hit and run varagon who drove dangerously along Owode /Ijako on the Lagos /Abeokuta Express and hit a motorcycle in the process .
“The driver of the varagon bus drove dangerously and hit the motorcycle rider who died on the spot.
“The accident happened outbound Abeokuta, at Owode-Ijako axis of the Old Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
“The Varagon driver ran away with the vehicle but the vehicle was later apprehended at Sango, but unfortunately, the driver has ran away,”he said.
Akinbiyi noted that the body of the motorcyclist had been deposited at Ifo General Hospital.
He explained that the second accident happened around Saapade inbound Ibadan and it involved a hyundai car with registration number KJA 256 CK and a parked Scannia truck .
He added that the car lost control and ran into the parked truck .
He said that three people were involved in the accident , saying that two persons were injured while one female person died.
The TRACE spokesman said that both the dead and injured were taken to Isara General hospital, while the two vehicles towed to Ode Remo police station.
