Police Arrests Two For Robbing With Toy Gun In Ogun

The Ogun police command have arrested two robbers while robbing with a toy gun at Idaniyi area in Agbara, Ado Odo Ota local government area of the state.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
“The two men Micheal Iheanacho ‘m’ 34 years of Alaba international market, Ojo, Lagos and Jamiu Haruna ‘m’ 38 years of Kembiri Street, Okokomaiko, Lagos were arrested as a result of distress call received by Police at Agbara Division on Monday.
“The police learnt that three suspected armed robbers were attacking one Ugochuckwu Umeh at his residence in Idanyini area of Agbara with the intent to dispossess him of his Honda power Bike motorcycle with registration number GBE 717 GH.
“Immediately the information was received, the DPO Agbara Division, Sp Adegbite Omotayo, quickly mobilized his men to the scene where two out of the three hoodlums were arrested with the assistance of the local vigilantes.
” Recovered from them is the toy gun which they used to instill fear into their victim.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Cp Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered that the two suspects be transferred to FSARS for discreet investigation while serious manhunt should be launched for the fleeing member of the gang.
