Governor Jibrilla Denies Funding Atiku Abubakar Pdp Mega Rally With N70m State Funds

Governor Mohammed Jibrilla of Adamawa State, has denied using state government’s funds to the tune of N70 million to fund the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) mega Rally in honour of Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice-President of Nigeria

Asked if the funds he used in funding the rally was his personal money but the Governor who spoke through his media Adviser Martins Dickson still denied.
A press release on behalf of the Governor said: “The attention of the Adamawa State Governor senator Muhammed Umaru Jibrilla has been drawn to a malicious and false publication with the above title in an online news paper, The News Halk of Saturday July 21, 2018 in which the writer accused the Governor of anti party activities and sponsoring the Mega rally of the People’s Democratic Party in the state, to honour Atiku Abubakar.
“The Governor said the media report was false, malicious, misleading and totally untrue as Governor Bindow is still with the All Progressives Congress, APC and making it the most popular party in Adamawa State.
“The Governor denied a secret meeting with an aid of Atiku Abubakar where he donated state funds to the mega rally, According to him there was no such meeting between Senator Jibrilla, or his aids with Alh. Njidda Pariya, a close aid of Atiku Abubakar.”
