Alake Vows To Support Youths Empowerment

The Alake and Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo said he will countinue to  support any organisation that is ready to empower Nigerian youths.

Alake announced this at his investiture as the grand patron of Vocation Realize Youths Agriculture Empowerment Foundation held in Abeokuta.

The Paramount ruper of Egbaland said he was convinced beyond doubt that the youth if encouraged will continue to contribute to the development of the country.

He said he is ready to help young Nigerians to identify and harness their potentials for greatness.

"This is an opportunity for young Nigerians, we must help the youths to identify and harness their talents’’, he said.

Oba Gbadebo said he would step up efforts towards encoraging youths to go into Agriculture as it is the only highest employer of labour. He opined that in Ogun State alone more than 1.2 million to two million jobs could be created through Agriculture if properly harnessed.

The royal father also said that he would encourage Egba to Youths to key into the project.

While thanking the Project Director of the Foundation, Mrs Joyce Iroka for her foresight, Alake and the nomination as the grand patron, Alake described Nigerian youths as exceptionally brilliant adding that they had contributed immensely to national development.

Earlier the project coordinator, Mrs Joyce Iroka said the foundation decided to identify with the Royal father because of his  zeal to help his people all the time.

"Well do more for the young people and youths because they are creative and enterprising as demonstrated in all facet of live.

She revealed that very soon the foundation will be organising a summit for all youths in order to convince them on reasons why they have to go into Agriculture and other allied matters.

In his contribution, the Secretary of the board of the foundation, Mr Soji Amosu thanked Alake for supporting the foundation with all his resources saying the feat is worth of emulation by the well to do in the society.

He opined that the foundation is not going to only train and encourage youths alone, but it will monitor them to ensure that they are seriously entrenched in Agriculture.
