The Ogun State Chairman of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi Oluwafemi Arabambi, has petitioned the Area Commander of Nigeria Police, Oke Ilewo Abeokuta over alleged assault and threat to life by a legal personnel, Barrister Yinka Kotoye.
In the petition dated 27th June, 2018 and copy of which was made avilable to Our Correspondent, Comrade Arabambi alleged Barrister Kotoye of constantly harassing him over issues that had to do with Labour Party and former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.
"The man, Yinka Kotoye despite being the counsel to Otunba Gbenga Daniel, in a matter between Gbenga Daniel and my private company in an attempt to hijack labour Party in the State towards the build up to 2015 general elections in the State, he has been harassing me as Chairman of the Party, my political associations and the State Secretariat for a while on the request that he wanted to collect an imaginary debt on the instruction of his client, Otunba Gbenga Daniel by force".
"I have received series of phone calls from the said Yinka Kotoye threatening me that if I failed to refund the purported debt, he has the instruction of his client, Otunba Gbenga Daniel to attack me at any time or in any political gathering"
"The climax of his threat is manifested when the said Kotoye assaulted me in the premises of Iwe-Iroyin, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta without any provocation and I escaped from him, as only God knows if I would be alive".
Comrade Arabambi therefore urged " the Police to investigate the threat and the assault on my person as I cannot vouch for him and his client next line of action against my life"
